EARTHQUEST: The Challenge Begins
"EARTHQUEST" ENVIRONMENTAL EXHIBIT OFFERS CHILDREN INTERACTIVE CHALLENGE
Children of all ages are learning how they can make a positive impact on the environment at an interactive museum exhibit called "EarthQuest: The Challenge Begins." The exhibit toured major science and natural-history museums in cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
"EarthQuest" takes visitors on an interactive adventure through cyberspace inside a giant video game. Hands-on, graphic and video displays throughout the exhibit repeat four primary messages: reduce, reuse and recycle; there is no "away" (as in throw "away"); the earth has a limited carrying capacity; and everything in the universe is connected.
The exhibit is made possible by Ford Motor Company. Additional support was provided by The Hertz Corporation and IBM.
